2023 Salute to Independence

The United team had the great pleasure of attending this year's Canine Companions Salute to Independence event. Thank you to Canine Companions for your continued dedication to supporting those who served, and to the remarkable service dogs providing the much needed support to our nation's veterans.
This year we had the opportunity to celebrate Michael Riccardi, recipient of this year's Colonel E. David Woycik Jr., Esq., USA (Ret.) and Lance Corporal Matias Ferreira, USMC (Ret.) Outstanding Service Award, which is presented to a volunteer who continues to serve their local veteran community.
Canine Companions is the largest national non-profit provider of service dogs to people with disabilities in the United States. They provide trained service dogs to adults, children, and veterans with disabilities completely free of charge.
