U.S. stock futures are higher. Stock futures remain mostly unchanged this morning as U.S. equities conclude the month of May with a holiday-shortened week. The S&P 500 has rallied 5.34% so far this month, and earnings season has largely wrapped up, although a few retail companies are still set to report results later in the week. Treasury yields are edging lower ahead of the release of consumer confidence data at 10 a.m. Eastern. Federal Reserve officials will continue to provide commentary, and Friday morning’s April PCE data will bookend the week’s economic calendar. Globally, Asian markets closed with mixed results, while European markets are declining in afternoon trading. Crude oil and gold prices are rising, while the U.S. Dollar Index is displaying signs of weakness.
