U.S. Stock Futures Are Lower To Begin the Third Quarter of 2022
U.S. stock futures are lower. The first day of the 3Q and the 2nd half is starting with the primary equity futures lower and treasury yields down. The 10y yield is trading below 3% at 2.92% as fears of a possible recession looming. Euro zone headline annual inflation rose 8.6% according to Eurostat compared to estimates of 8.4% from Reuters, resulting in lower European index levels and the ECB is expected to aggressively hike rates. Asian markets also closed down for the week. OPEC + decided to remain with its current production levels for the month of August, with both Brent and WTI trading higher. U.S markets are closed on Monday for July 4th.
