U.S. Stock Futures Are Lower With Rising Treasury Yields This Morning
U.S. stock futures are lower: Rising treasury yields are sending equity futures down in morning trading. The 10y treasury hit 2.77%, the first time since Jan-19. CPI will be released tomorrow with the consensus at 8.4% (annual) and 1.1% (monthly) increase and the Treasury department is scheduled for auctions across the maturity curve this week with the 3y auction this afternoon. Earnings season starts this week - FactSet estimate is 4.5% (annual) for the 1Q’22. Crude oil prices are lower with China continuing highly restrictive lockdowns and this may potentially impact global demand. European and Asian markets are all lower.
