U.S. stock futures are lower: Equity futures are migrating from positive to negative this morning driven by diplomatic efforts to deter a Russian invasion into Ukraine. The situation is highly fluid but negotiations continue this morning as Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov suggested that Russia would continue talks with EU & NATO. The 10y treasury yields have pulled back to below 1.95%, as investors seek a flight to safety trade. Global energy levels remain volatile. Uncertainly surrounding supply disruptions due to an invasion has kept oil prices on edge. Additionally, price of natural gas in Europe jumped 8.5%, according to the Wall Street Journal. This week PPI and FOMC Minutes will be released on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively. European markets are trading lower and Asian markets closed down.
