U.S. Stock Futures Are Lower As Investors Digest Retail Earnings & Sales Data
U.S. stock futures are lower. U.S. Markets are indicating a lower open this morning as investors digest retail earnings, retail sales data, and anticipate the release of the July Fed minutes later this afternoon. July retail sales came in flat month-over-month as fuel and auto purchases declined. Core retail sales advanced 0.4%, beating expectations of a -0.1% decline. Treasury Yields are higher this morning with the 2 Yr at 3.32% and 10 Yr at 2.87%.
Asian markets closed higher and European markets are lower in midday trading after U.K. inflation data rose above expectations to a 40-year high.
