Equities and Bonds Are On the Rise After March CPI Print Showed Headline Inflation Cooled More Than Expected
U.S. stock futures are higher. Equities and Bonds are on the rise after the March CPI print showed headline inflation cooled more than expected. Headline CPI increased 0.1% month-over-month in March vs. expectations of a 0.4% increase while Core CPI matched expectations of 0.4% increase. Investors will get more data later this afternoon when the March FOMC minutes are released. Final PPI and jobless claims are scheduled for release tomorrow morning. Asian markets closed mostly higher and European markets are rising. Gold and Crude prices are gaining and the Dollar is weakening.
