US Futures are lower after a strong first week of trading. Markets look to take a breather after strong gains in the first week of 2018 which saw the S&P 500 rise by 2.6% over four trading days. The is no economic data scheduled to be released today. European shares are mostly higher as consumer confidence in the euro zone reached a 17-year high. Automobile and material stocks led the gains. Asian shares closed higher across the board led by new highs in Japanâ€™s Nikkei 225.
